Exhibitor Spotlight - Whitehall Antiques

Whitehall Antiques can be found, once again, this fall at High Point Market at the Antique & Design Center -space 54 on the ground level of Market Square.
David Lindquist and his daughter Elizabeth Lindquist are the owners of Whitehall Antiques at the Villa.
Whitehall Antiques has been providing fine antiques in Chapel Hill, NC and beyond since 1930. Specializing in 18th and 19th century country French and formal English furniture with appropriate, art, accessories, silver and more - it is a regular stop for designers and clients from across the country. To see much of their current inventory and take a Google virtual tour, visit their website: Whitehall Antiques. Whitehall also participates in major antiques shows across the country including the Nashville Antiques and Garden Show, The Theta Charity Antiques Show in Houston, TX, The Atlanta Cathedral Antiques Show in Buckhead, the Antique & Design Center of High Point and more.

Mr. Lindquist is a noted author in the field of antiques and has written a series of books on antique furniture.  He will be speaking on Sunday, October, 20th at 1:30pm  on "Changing Values in a Fast Paced Design Market"
-A hard hitting and hard nosed look at what has happened over the past 10 years to antique and vintage home furnishings. Are you prepared to show your clients that often antique and vintage pieces are less costly than a copy? He will be bringing particular finds from many ADC exhibitor’s booths to share with you, showing photos of finds too large to bring to the lecture room, and showing you how to judge the value of every antique and vintage piece you find. The keys are based on the concept of simple comparisons and you will leave this lecture with that concept firmly planted in your mind. You will be ready for the excitement of your next find and you will have total confidence in that find! Q&A follows and CEU credit will be awarded.  Followed by an afternoon pick-me-up of gelato & coffee.

Exhibitor Spotlight - Luisana Designs and Antiques

Karen Luisana is the Founder and Cruise Director (yes, that's the title on her business card) of the Antique & Design Center of High Point.  Having spent many years in set design and then selling antiques in High Point in her own showroom as well as accessorizing many new furniture showrooms,  she understands what the selective designers that visit Market are looking for.

In her travels today, she not only searches for amazing one-of-a-kind pieces, which she continues to sell in her Luisana Designs & Antiques Space at the A&DC,  but she also seeks to find the best antiques dealers and artisans from around the country to share this wonderful venue with.  "The antiques business has changed and we can no longer compete with each other but instead have to band together to create something deliciously different."

Enjoy a sneak peek of what she'll be bringing to High Point Market this Fall, as well as some cherished family moments from this past summer.

Exhibitor Spotlight - 20th Century by HKFA

20th Century by HKFA is a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

20th Century by HKFA is all about antiques. Fine items with character, tradition and provenance.

These pieces are the foundation of every classic interior. These are the pieces that you'll bequeath to your heirs and they'll sell at auction for an incredible return... Start them off right by buying a few pieces here. Whether you're the Old Master type, fine American furniture connoisseur or somewhere in between… we'll probably have that piece that is somewhere in between Old and Fine.

But, 20th Century by HKFA is also all about modern. Fresh items with color, wit and whimsy.

These pieces are the focal point of every new interior. These are the pieces that your friends will secretly covet, hate you for having the guts to buy, yet compliment you profusely on your style... Help them to get their yellow smiles shining brightly. Whether you're looking for an 'in your face' statement piece of art, an 'over the top' piece of furniture or something completely different… we'll probably have something else entirely.

We like to have fun, because our business is about fun. Connecting clients with their soon to be must have pieces. Turning those connections into friendships. Looking forward to seeing you at the Antique and Design Center of High Point! ~Heather Karlie Vieira
