Catiques Jewelry Created from Vintage Finds - Antique & Design Center Exhibitor Spotlight

Catiques is back at the Antique & Design Center at High Point Market this April, with several new collections of jewelry accessories created from vintage jewelry and jewelry findings.

Rhinestone Jewelry Findings
It was exciting to find vintage rhinestone necklaces and bracelets that were unfinished. They are unfinished by having some missing stones so the brass setting is there without a stone. They have been turned into necklaces and bracelet cuffs – totally stunning and very one of a kind. The unmistakable gleam of the vintage rhinestones combined with the warm patina of the open brass setting creates a stunning and interesting look.

Metals
The mix of metals continues to be a fashion trend and we have statement necklaces and bracelets incorporating brass, silver, and copper, pot metal and steel. Last market bracelets incorporating the vintage steel buckles were very popular and I'm back with more and adding a new style incorporating the vintage steel buckles into a very comfortable, easy to wear a cuff bracelet.

I'm also incorporating vintage pot metal jewelry settings into pieces. The warm silver tone of the pot metal combined with brass, copper and rhinestones is very cool. These pieces are very versatile – super elegant for cocktail and black tie and fabulous with jeans and a tee shirt.

 Statement Necklaces
Statement necklaces continue to be the hottest thing and I'm bringing lots of new pieces. A good variety of styles incorporating a variety of metals, vintage rhinestones and a new twist-- vintage enamel pieces. It was thrilling to find fabulous old French enamel findings with Swarovski crystals. They are lots of fun and can really make an outfit.

Incorporating Pleated Hand Dyed Ribbon
I love vintage ribbonwork and vintage jewelry so why not put them together! I have fabulous new pieces incorporating pleated vintage ribbon and vintage findings and stones into some really Wow pieces. The pleated ribbon has a very sophisticated look and definitely one of kind.
Photos and info are compliments of Catiques.

20th Century by HKFA - Antique & Design Center - Exhibitor Spotlight

Hi, I'm Heather Vieira of 20th Century by HKFA. High Point Market is just around the corner and I'm really looking forward to it...  For the past five months I've been buying pretty much everything - great antique and vintage seating, lighting, accessories, furniture, art and so much more. I'm getting ready for another incredible Market!

Decorative and designer pieces are now de rigueur for interiors because they add a touch of uniqueness, of personality, of history. You see, there is always a great story behind every antique and vintage piece.

So now, after five months of buying and packing, my shop in Philly has become my storage! Come and find your treasures... I'll be set up and selling, so I hope you'll stop by the Antique & Design Center of High Point - booths 34 and 34a. See ya at High Point!

http://highpointantiquecenter.blogspot.com/2014/03/olde-good-things-exhibitor-spotlight-at.html
Have you ever been wondering around NYC and seen this crazy clear box with Lions inside drive by?  Well we have, and it got our attention! We see Olde Good Things as we travel all over the country and we are excited to announce that they are on the way to The Antique & Design Center at High Point Market this Spring!  You can find them at MSG-14-ADC and also at SAMS G-8003

Olde Good Things is one of the largest architectural antique dealers in the country, with four store locations nationwide filled with doorknobs, hardware, doors, mantels, decorative iron, stained glass, terra cotta and many more olde good things. They also have a warehouse of over 100,000 square feet inside, and three acres outside, all bursting with reclaimed materials and antique items.

They acquire antique and architectural artifacts from many late nineteenth century and pre-depression buildings, saving them from the landfills, and making them available to collectors and designers everywhere.  They will be bringing the best of their inventory to High Point.
